Islamic Thought and World Culture
About Lesson

Islamic thought is grounded in a Tawhidic (Quranic) worldview, emphasizing that Allah is the creator of the universe and humanity, nature is not divine, and human beings have a purpose in society. In contrast, non-Tawhidic worldviews often treat nature as holy, awesome, or fearsome, leading to cultural and social conventions that differ from the Tawhidic perspective. Islamic thought is distinct in its focus on monotheism and divine purpose.
